Henry Cavill spotted filming in London for ‘Highlander’ reboot
Henry Cavill was spotted filming Highlander, reimagined by Chad Stahelski, in central London.
On Monday, March 23, the Superman star was captured by paparazzi during a daytime shoot for the Amazon MGM Studios classic fantasy film’s reboot.
The photos from the set feature Cavell in a battle-worn look, which was completed with dark pants, boots, and a visible facial scar, marking a rugged update from earlier, cleaner set photos at places like the Tower of London.
Cavill plays the role of Connor Macleod, the immortal Scottish swordsman. The early footage showed him wearing a long coat and engaging in intense sword fighting, requiring training in 17 different styles.
Stahelski’s Highlander, a reboot of the 1986 cult film led by Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, has spent several years in development, facing repeated delays along the way. Momentum picked up last year as the project began assembling a high-profile cast, including Russell Crowe and Jeremy Irons.
Filming had initially been slated for late last year, but plans were pushed after Cavill sustained an injury during training, shifting production to early 2026.
Cameras are now officially rolling, with Cavill confirming the update in January as he shared first-look images from the set.
