The Masked Singer UK finale is almost here after the show delivered an exciting and star-studded new series. With only three contestants left, fans will soon find out who this bunch of singing celebrities, in wild fancy dress outfits, really are.
Kicking off during the first weekend of the year, Joel Dommett introduced us to the motley crew of creatures for this year’s outing, and the speculation began as to who they might all be, hiding beneath those over-sized and presumably very hot plastic heads. So here are the best theories and suggestions ahead of tonight’s finale, as to who the famous people might be under the masks.
Moth

After performing Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’ incredibly well on Saturday 3 January, it’s now given viewers some good ideas as to who it could be, and a lot of signs (well, chatter on social media) point to it perhaps being Keisha Buchanan from Sugababes.
One person on X wrote: “Just catching up on #TheMaskedSingerUK and Moth is 1000000% the iconic @keisha_buchanan – and she’s not even giving it her all yet vocally either. I can see her winning already!”. Another person agreed: “We see you Keisha Buchanan as Moth, I know that voice.”
Other guesses from the judges included Alexandra Burke (another possible contender) or Jessie J, but no, Davina McCall, we really don’t think it’s ’80s Brat Pack actor Molly Ringwald.
The 31 January performance of JoJo’s ‘Leave (Get Out)’ led Jonathan Ross to guess Doctor Who star Billie Piper based on some of the clues, a name that was suggested by guest panellist Ben Shephard a few weeks ago.
Davina McCall, meanwhile, thought it was singer and X Factor winner Leona Lewis, while Maya Jama maintained that it was Sugababes member Keisha. Olly Murs, who was the guest for the night, went rogue and predicted that JoJo was singing their own song.
On February 7, a couple of names were consolidated from the judges’ side – Sugababes’ Keisha, which is Maya Jama’s unshakeable guess, and singer Jamelia, who both Mo and Davina agreed on.
Conkers

Singing Myles Smith’s ‘Nice To Meet You’ as their opening song, Conkers has had people scratching their heads ever since. The clues we’ve been given are that they were filmed near a castle, they said they “up for any challenge” but added they often “hide in their shell”, and rather randomly added that “ghosts don’t scare me”.
Maya Jama suggested it could be actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe who has starred in Ghosts, while over on X, other guesses included Olly Murs, Mark Owen or Ben Shepherd, again.
After a second performance and a clue about swimming, Davina McCall suggested Conkers could be retired diver Tom Daley, as swimmer Adam Peaty was also mentioned. However, names like Sam Thompson and Bradley Walsh were also added to the long list of suspects.
Following the show on 31 January, comedian Josh Widdicombe and tennis player Andrew Castle were mentioned, while Davina maintained that it was swimmer Tom Daley. Jonathan thought it could be Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, while Maya mentioned Big Brother host Will Best.
On 7 February, judges got some new names into the mix, including Dougie Poynter of McFly fame and actor and comedian Charlie Cooper. However, Davina stuck with Tom Daley. Could she be right? She certainly seems sure!
Toastie
ITV
Toastie has become immediately iconic with their version of Aerosmith’s Walk This Way, and in their video they talked about “not giving up under pressure” as well as the suggestion they’ve faced criticism in the past. There were also hints of a diamond, a crown and the date “August 20”.
The panel suggested people like singer Rebecca Ferguson, Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie and Emeli Sande. But off-screen, many viewers were saying that they thought it was Brenda Edwards from Loose Women. “If it’s not Brenda Edwards, I’ll eat a toastie,” one person said on X, while another added: “Calling it now, Toastie is Brenda Edwards.” Other ideas punted out were Loose Women co-star Judi Love or Alison Hammond.
Following the 10 January performance, Mo Gilligan jumped on fans’ theories that it could be professional singer Brenda Edwards behind the mask. The names of Vanessa Williams and Mel C were also mentioned on the second weekend episode.
On 24 January, the judges threw some more names into the mix, including professional singers Beverley Knight, Alexandra Burke, Chaka Khan, and Marisha Wallace.
The following week, Mo went back to a previous guess of Brenda Edwards, while Olly thought it was singer Natasha Hamilton. Maya guessed that it was Sheridan Smith, while Jonathan also went back to a previous guess with Jennifer Hudson.
Ahead of the finale, during the 7 February show, Jonathan Ross stuck to his guns with Jennifer Hudson, while guest judge Katherine Ryan thew a wild card saying Greta Thunberg. “I know who this is,” claimed Mo, bringing back everyone’s favourite guess: Brenda Edwards.

We have already had a few people whip those masks off, and so far in The Masked Singer 2026 it’s been revealed that:

– Yak is music icon John Lydon
– Gargoyle is Marcella Detroit from Shakespears Sister
– Monkey Business is singer Kate Nash
– Arctic Fox is Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke
– Red Panda is comedian Harry Hill
– Sloth is adventurer Ben Fogle
– Can of Worms is singer and radio host Marvin Humes
