It’s time to head back into the universe of “The Office” with the new spinoff series “The Paper.”

Using the same mockumentary format as “The Office,” the documentary crew that originally followed the employees of Dunder Mifflin set their sights on a new subject. “The Paper” follows the staff of a declining Midwestern newspaper and the the new editor-in-chief trying to save it.

“The Paper” is co-created by “The Office” creator Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, best known for his work on “Nathan For You,” and will star Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

In her review of the series, The Post’s Lauren Sarner wrote, “The headline news about “The Office” spinoff “The Paper” is that it’s not bad. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s surprisingly entertaining and amusing.”

The review continues, ““The Paper” echoes its predecessor enough to feel like a fitting companion piece. This is especially reflected in the theme song, which strikes the right chord of, “similar, but different.” The melody is new, but the sound evokes the iconic “The Office” opening tune.”
