A massive line dance will honor the nation’s 250th birthday.

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley is reviving its popular event series. Heritage Park will host live music and movies over four nights, offering families the chance to enjoy free performances under the stars this spring. It’s a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to come together.

The series kicks off on Friday, April 17, and runs through May 22. Events will take place on specific Friday nights during those weeks. The dates are April 17, April 24, May 15, and May 22. Each night begins with a live concert at 6 p.m.

The movies will begin at dusk, right after the music ends. People should bring their own blankets or chairs to the park. There will be food vendors and bounce houses every night. This year also features a fun new scavenger hunt for everyone.

On April 17, the Koontz Band will perform for the crowd. After the music, the movie “Wicked for Good” will be shown. On April 24, the band MidLife Crisis will take the stage. The film for that night will be the sequel “Zootopia 2.”

The series takes a brief break during the first two weeks of May due to the Gulf Coast Balloon Festival. Another major event, Art in the Park, also takes place then. Music and movies return to the park on May 15.

On May 15, the band Chitlin Switch will perform for guests. The featured movie that night is the 2025 version of “Lilo & Stitch.” The final night of the series is set for May 22, and it will be a special celebration.

The May 22 finale features the band, Strickly Rivers. The movie “National Treasure” will conclude the series. This night celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States. It will be a big party for the whole town.

Special activities are planned for this patriotic-themed final evening. There will be a line dance featuring 250 dancers. Children can play in patriotic-themed bounce houses at the park. It is a way to honor our country’s history.

More details about the scavenger hunt will be posted online soon. You can check the Visit Foley Facebook and Instagram pages. Admission to all these events is free. Parking is available around Heritage Park.

This event is part of the city’s effort to bring the community together. Families often look forward to these nights throughout the winter months. It is a tradition many people in the area enjoy. The park provides a safe place for kids to play.

Everyone is welcome to join the fun this year. You do not need to buy tickets to attend any show. Just show up with your family and enjoy the entertainment. It is a great way to spend a Friday evening in Foley.

The city hopes that many people will come out to the park. Each night offers something a little different for guests. Whether you like music or movies, there is something for you. Make sure to mark your calendars for these special dates.

The local bands are excited to perform for their hometown fans. They have been practicing their songs for these big outdoor concerts. The movies were chosen to be fun for people of all ages. It is truly an event the whole family can enjoy.

Do not forget to look for the food vendors at the park. They will have various snacks and drinks for sale each night. The bounce houses are always a big hit with younger children. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Heritage Park is the perfect setting for these outdoor events. The pavilion provides a great stage for live music performances. The open grass area is ideal for watching movies on the big screen. We hope to see you there this spring.
