The ex-girlfriend of former “Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan has been granted a five-year restraining order against the actor after she accused him of hitting and threatening to kill her.
As first reported by TMZ, the woman, who said she dated Bryan for three months, first reached out to police on July 3 after she said he hit her in her right eye after she playfully bit his nipple while they were lying down.
Several days later, she said they got into an verbal argument, during which he threatened to kill her and said, “Shut the [expletive] up or I’m gonna shut you up.”
He then took their dog, locked himself in a room, and then began to punch the door, splitting it from its frame.
She also said he sprayed the dog in the face with bleach in June.
Bryan has now been ordered to stay 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend until Sept. 29, 2030.
This is not the first time Bryan has been accused of domestic abuse. In January of this year he was arrested in South Carolina after police said he hit a woman several times and tried to choke her.
He was also arrested and charged with various assault charges in October 2020 and July 2023. And he was arrested for a suspected DUI in La Quinta, California, in February 2024.
Bryan played Brad Taylor on “Home Improvement.” He also appeared in “True Heart” and “Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”
