The stars were out in Central Texas for one of the world’s biggest racing events of the year. Thousands of fans, including celebrities, traveled from near and far to attend the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin on Sunday, October 19.
While some race car drivers were spotted around the state’s capital city throughout the weekend, other big names were spotted at COTA for the main event. From Olympic athletes to country music stars and actors, here’s who we saw in the paddocks and on the racetrack at this year’s F1 U.S. Grand Prix:
This hip hop and country music star was living it up on the racetrack once again before the F1 Grand Prix, taking selfies and talking with other singers in attendance like Warren Zeiders. Shaboozey made it a point to go to last year’s race in Austin too, so in our eyes he’s already a regular.
The “Gossip Girl” star looked like he had a Sunday funday with his girlfriend, Kelsey Merritt at this afternoon’s race. While Crawford may live in the Los Angeles-area now, the actor has roots in Texas.
This legendary talk show television host and car enthusiast was seen walking around and posing for photos at the COTA paddocks. The former “Tonight Show” host boasts an impressive collection of over 180 rare, classic and muscle cars valued between $52 million and $100 million.
Both Olympic athletes posed for a photo together on the grid ahead of Sunday’s race. Tara Davis-Woodall is an American track and field athlete who won a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, while Leo Neugebauer is a German multi-event track and field star with a record holder in the decathlon and indoor heptathlon.
Another country music star made his way through the racetrack at Sunday’s race. Zeiders is known for his songs like “Pretty Little Poison” and “Ride the Lightning.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actor and voice of Flynn Rider in Disney’s Tangled also let his hair down in Austin this weekend as he made his way through the track ahead of the big race.
