From the day its doors opened on April 7, 1928 with a vaudeville review and the screening of the silent film “Partners in Crime” accompanied by music from the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ to the Murder Mystery Magic Show slated for July, the historic State Theater has, like the entertainment it hosts, changed with the times evolving into a community arts venue.
