Brand new music from multi-platinum alternative rockers Hoobastank has just been put out. The group have debuted the below Matt Akana-directed video for their track “How Do You Sleep?“. Producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, P.O.D.) oversaw this new single from the band, which represents their first all-new material since 2018.
Doug Robb has stated of the track:
“I feel good about releasing new music. It’s kind of like a creative ‘pressure valve’ has been opened. Howard Benson‘s enthusiasm was a big part of opening it for us. He gave us direction but also a lot more freedom than he may have previously.”
Benson added of working with the band:
“It was a trip back in time, and a look to the future when the band arrived to play their new music for me. We have had stops and starts working together for years, but this time they brought not one or two songs, but a plethora of great material! I was so taken by the strength of vision and musicality I was hearing that I booked studio time as we were listening so as not to lose the momentum!”
This fall will see Hoobastank out with Staind on the ‘Break The Cycle” 25th anniversary tour, alongside Seether and Hinder. Hoobastank are also booked for the Long Beach and Orlando stops of this year’s ‘Vans Warped Tour‘, along with some overseas stops and a number of live appearances throughout the summer.
