This week’s slow burn goes to Hope and Liam on The Bold and the Beautiful. Something is building between these exes. Hope can’t pry herself away from Liam even though she’s engaged to Carter. They could have a sweet “Lope” reunion if she weren’t already taken.
What’s Going On Here?
We have to wonder what’s going on with Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle). The two have been spending a lot more time together than they did when their marriage was crumbling. They didn’t even want to be in the same room together once they got divorced. Now, Hope is blissfully engaged to Carter (Lawerence Saint-Victor), but you wouldn’t know it. We haven’t seen much of the couple ever since they shared the news.

Instead, Hope has been spending most of her time with Liam, who is recovering from surgery. She wants to make sure that he’s 100% healthy. We understand that she wants to keep an eye on him since Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is gone, but we can’t help but notice something brewing here. The exes are getting along well and are even flirting with one another. Does this mean a “Lope” reunion is in the works?
Hope For The Future
Both Hope and Liam have much to look forward to, in different ways. Liam thought he was going to die. Now, he has a second chance at living. He’s also feeling like his old self again. As for Hope, she got her job back at Forrester Creations. Plus, she’s looking toward her future with Carter. But that’s the problem. This might not be the future she envisioned for herself, especially not when she catches him in Daphne’s (Murielle Hilaire) trenches.

A “Cope” engagement might not happen. Carter could still be hiding something from the night when Daphne went over his place. And interestingly enough, Liam and Hope are now drama-free, for the first time in decades. Steffy is happily married to Finn (Tanner Novlan). They have both recovered from the trauma of nearly losing their daughter, Beth. Also, there’s no Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) around, trying to steal Hope away from Liam.
If anything, this would be a good time to slowly rebuild their relationship and see what happens. Maybe these exes could make it work after all. But it would have to take Hope to realize that she loves Liam more than Carter. Or maybe it would take Carter’s flirty banter with Daphne for her to drop him, once and for all.
