HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Rotary Club of Hot Springs Village recently heard from Audrey Findlen, founder and president of The Entertainment Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization “dedicated to bringing high-quality live entertainment to underserved groups,” according to a news release.

As a professional singer, dancer and choreographer, Findlen created a troupe of volunteer entertainers who visit local senior living centers, veterans groups and even individuals to experience the joy of live performance.

Since its founding in 2018, The Entertainment Foundation has served more than 14,000 people in this area. Along with groups, they also provide presentations for individuals through their “Senior Sweethearts” program and “Just For You,” which can be booked by family members for such occasions as Mother’s Day, birthdays, etc., the release said.

The foundation also provides “upbeat live entertainment” at fundraisers for nonprofit groups around the community. Last year, it provided 70 shows, ranging from large groups to homebound individuals.

Its upcoming Tina Turner tribute show at the Woodlands in Hot Springs Village on April 21 will allow the Foundation to cover expenses and expand its reach to more facilities that cannot afford entertainment, the release said.

Findlen showed members a video of past performances, noting how heartwarming it is “to see the light in their faces.” One audience member commented on the video that, “You made me feel alive today,” which Findlen said is why Entertainment Foundation volunteers “love what they do.”
