LOVB has reimagined professional volleyball through a community-up model that unites youth, collegiate, and professional athletes within one connected ecosystem. In Houston, that includes the nationally ranked Houston Skyline junior club, with more than 1,300 athletes across the city. This integrated approach drives participation, develops elite talent, and builds lifelong fandom by linking local communities directly to the professional stage.
“Cal and Hannah McNair deeply care about the Houston community, and their passion for growing Houston sports makes them an ideal partner,” said Rosie Spaulding, President for LOVB Pro. “Their proven track record of championing athletes from youth to pro and building community impact is exactly what will power this next stage of LOVB Houston’s success, so we’re thrilled to welcome them to LOVB.”
Today’s announcement comes as LOVB Houston unveils its 2026 season calendar, kicking off at the Berry Center on January 8, 2026. With an expanded schedule that features 10 home matches, LOVB Houston is introducing the Berry Center alongside the Fort Bend County Epicenter as its home venues for 2026. Featuring two-time Olympic Medalist and 2025 LOVB Pro Opposite Hitter of the Year Jordan Thompson, two-time Olympic Medalist Micha Hancock, and NCAA Champion and Tournament MVP Jess Mruzik, LOVB Houston is now back in the practice gym as they get ready for their home opener. Tickets are now on sale at www.lovbhtx.com.
LOVB’s commitment to building something lasting is reflected not just in the roster, but in LOVB’s team ownership model, which unites team and league equity to align incentives for long-term growth. With more than 46 million volleyball fans in the U.S., LOVB continues to expand access to the sport while shaping the future of professional volleyball nationwide, and together with LSSE as partners, drive fandom across Houston.
Founded in 2020, LOVB’s mission is to reimagine the future of volleyball. With a unique community-up approach, LOVB is one holistic ecosystem – from club to pro. The largest community of youth clubs in the country, LOVB launched the first serve of its pro league in January 2025, featuring some of the very best players in the world including American silver medalists and players from the last Olympics.
