London lit up with a magical energy on Sunday March 26. Roads throughout the southeast and centre of the city were shut down as more than 59,000 people took on the London Marathon 2026, and thousands more stood on the sidelines cheering them on every step of the way. If you were one of those many supporters and could have sworn you saw a celeb or two, you’d be correct.

Among the hordes of people braving the marathon this year were a host of famous folk. From sports heroes to icons of the stage and screen running to raise money for charity or just to beat their personal best, here’s how the celebs fared at the London Marathon 2026.

Former F1 champion Sebastian Vettel was the speediest of them all. He soared around the 26.2 mile course in a time of two hours and 59 minutes, raising money for the Brain & Spine Foundation and the Grand Prix Trust.

Ex-Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey crossed the line at exactly three hours and 30 seconds and former England cricket captain Sir Alastair Cook ran the whole thing in three hours and five minutes. McFly drummer Harry Judd returned to the marathon and shaved a whopping 10 minutes off of his 2025 time (a big chunk in running terms) to finish in three hours and five minutes.

Wicked and Dracula star Cynthia Erivo finished with a very impressive time of three hours and 21 minutes, beating her previous record of three hours and 35 minutes. Once she got over the finish line, the Oscar-nominated actress told media: ‘There was a little rough moment where I thought it was never going to make it, but then I found a little bit of strength.’

Tilly Ramsay (Gordon Ramsay’s daughter) ran the marathon in four hours and one minute; American actress Patina Miller ran it in four hours and seven minutes; singer Alexandra Burke did it in four hours and 25 minutes for Parkinson’s UK and actor James Norton got a time of 4 hours and 29 minutes.

Sinners and 28 Years Later star Jack O’Connell finished in four hours 41 minutes, raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Fern Brady, comedian and Time Out Love Thy Neighbourhood star ran for autism research charity Autistica and completed the marathon in five hours 49 minutes.

Joe Wicks ran alongside Daddy Pig (of Peppa Pig fame) and, together, the pair completed the marathon in just under five hours and 52 minutes.
