The Rookie heads into its penultimate episode of season eight with Nathan Fillion and crew looking to help a mother in need. This episode sees Nolan and Harper work to help a mother, desperate for anyone to help protect her child. Nolan is played by Fillion, the titular rookie in this series. After a life-changing moment in his life, Nolan makes a huge career change to become a police officer with the LAPD. Mekia Cox plays Nyla Harper in the series. The Rookie also stars Melissa O’Neil, Alyssa Diaz, Eric Winter, Richard T. Jones, Shawn Ashmore, and Jenna Dewan.
