WILKES-BARRE — Zoe Pecuch picked up her 100th career hit and in the process, led Holy Redeemer to a big nonconference win.

Pecuch had two doubles and drove in two runs as Holy Redeemer scored four in the third inning to pick up a 5-3 win over WIlliamsport on Monday at Casey Park.

It was a big win for the Royals as the Millionaires entered the day with only two losses and were sitting in first in the latest Districts 2-4 Class 6A subregional standings.

Hailey Pius also had two hits, while Katie Genovese and Ava Thomas each drove in runs.

Thomas was the winning pitcher, holding Williamsport to eight hits over seven innings with one strikeout and two walks.

Tunkhannock 4, Pittston Area 0: At Tunkhannock, Addisyn Waterman had three hits and one RBI, and Kianna Hannon singled twice to help the Tigers win at home.

The win caps off an undefeated season for Tunkhannock in the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1.

Lucy Karp singled twice and scored one run, while Makenzie Bevan homered. Michaela Howell tossed a complete-game three-hitter with nine strikeouts.

Lili Hintze, Samantha Herbert and Julia Long each singled for Pittston Area.

Dallas 10, Western Wayne 5: At Dallas Little League field, Sydney Haydu had three hits, two of them doubles, and drove in two as the Mountaineers picked up a nonleague victory.

Dallas finished with 14 hits, six of them for extra bases. Ava Knorr homered as part of a two-hit game, while Elliot Rigol had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.  Annie Osipower doubled and drove in one, while Alyssa Traver had two hits and two RBIs. Lacey Youngblood picked up the win in the circle.

Khloe Mistishin had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs for Western Wayne. Hannah DeStefano had a single and RBI. Rheagan Wargo and Myla Smith each had two hits and an RBI.

Berwick 12, Valley West 0: At Third Ave. Elementary, Lauren Ashworth had two hits, including a double, and had five RBIs to lead Berwick to the win on the road.

Emma Welsh had two hits, two RBIs and scored one run. Morgan Drauschnak had two hits, one RBI and scored once. Makayla Brown had two singles and scored three runs. She also picked up the win in the circle — allowing six hits and striking out eight in five innings.

Janaee Fattorusso had two singles for Valley West. Skylar Barber had a double.

Northwest 17, Hanover Area 2: At Northwest, Ava Ruckle homered twice as part of a three-hit day to lead the Rangers to the nonleague victory.

Ruckle also drove in six runs as the Rangers remain undefeated on the season, improving to 19-0.

Addisyn Ditlz had three hits, including a double, and drove in three. Callie Moyer had two hits, including a double, drove in three and scored twice.

Natalie Weidner had two hits and scored one run for Hanover Area. Caitlyn Vigorito had a single and RBI.

Baseball

Dallas 9, Lake-Lehman 1: At Dallas, Connor Healey tossed a complete-game two-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead the Mountaineers to a win in a nonleague game.

Dominick Zangardi had three hits, including a triple and one RBI. He also scored three runs. Luca Pietraccini had a triple and four RBIs. Healey helped his cause at the plate with two hits, including a triple, and two runs scored.

Tyler Sassi and Andrew Morris each had a single for Lake-Lehman.

Central Mountain 6, Hazleton Area 5: In Mill Hall, trailing 5-2 going into the bottom of the sixth inning, Central Mountain scored four runs to defeat the Cougars in a nonleague win.

Hazleton Area finished the game with four hits, three of them for extra bases. Logan Hearity had a triple, while Dom Marino and LD Ventra each had a double. Ventra finished with three RBIs, while Marino drove in one. Jeudi Hidalgo had a single and scored one run.

Nanticoke Area 5, Hanover Area 4: At Hanover Area, Trey Mishanski pitched five innings of two-hit ball and Dylan Natilini came on in relief to get the win as the Trojans picked up the win on the road.

Natilini allowed one hit and struck out one during his time on the mound. Dylon Ball had two hits, including a double, for Nanticoke Area. Mark Welch, Mishanski and Michael Stachowiak each had two hits. Gavin Higgins had a double.

Jeff Peck had a single, RBI and run scored for Hanover Area. Conor Richardson had a double, and Brody Richardson drove in one.

Hughesville 6, Berwick 0: At Hughesville, Frankie Yosh had two hits, including a double, and Gabe Decker singled for Berwick in a nonleague loss to Hughesville.

Hughesville scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and scored one run in the second and another in the fourth.

MMI Prep 7, Northwest 5: At Northwest, the first four batters in the MMI lineup combined to go 8 for 14 with six RBIs and four runs scored to help the Preppers earn a nonleague win.

Derek Radzwich, Gavin Serock, Caleb Skuba and Dillan Garcia each had two hits. Garcia and Derek Radzwich each had a double and two RBIs. Bryce Radzwich pitched two innings of hitless relief to get the win.

Cole Kablick had two hits for Northwest.

Girls’ lacrosse

Holy Redeemer 12, Selinsgrove 5: At Holy Redeemer, Cali Glaser, Izzy Wasley and Gillian Parsons each scored three goals as the Royals wrapped up the regular season with a win at home.

Hannah Fauerbach scored two goals for the Royals, while Allie Desciak had one goal and one assist. Emmie O’Shea had one assist. Irelyn Curley had 10 saves in goal.

Quinn Smith and Abby Raymond each scored two goals for Selinsgrove. Emily Aument scored one goal.
