A place not far from the centre of Newcastle is continuing its seasonal festivities with a big New Year’s Eve event
It’s a suburb of Newcastle that has become THE place to be in the run up to Christmas and the party won’t stop in Great Park once Santa’s been either. And that’s because plans have now been confirmed for a massive New Year’s Eve event at its much talked about alpine bar The Great Goose.
With Christmas Day now very much on the horizon, many people done with their shopping and presents wrapped, it’ll soon be time to tuck into turkey and crack open the Quality Street. And after Christmas is done and dusted, there will be New Year to look forward. Yes, 2025 has whizzed by at what feels like lightning pace, meaning 2026 isn’t far away now and, if you aren’t keen to brave Newcastle city centre next Wednesday, a trip to Great Park could be a great shout.
Fresh from hosting its own winter festival for the first time, with plenty off traders setting out their stalls, Great Park is now all set to welcome in the New Year in fine style, with its own NYE spectacular. Organised by the team behind The Great Goose, the cosy tipi bar that has been described as Newcastle’s ‘ultimate hidden gem’ for Christmas.
Details of what they’ve got planned for New Year’s Eve have now been shared on Instagram, with the promise that it’s shaping up to ve ‘something special.’ For £25 per person, guests will get a glass of prosecco on arrival, glass of champagne or whiskey on rocks at midnight and a portion of Tacos from Goodtimes Tacos!
There will also be a live singer and DJ all night long and a low noise pyrotechnics display at midnight. To book up follow the link on The Great Goose’s Instagram bio.
A few miles away in town next Wednesday, Newcastle will see the debut of brand new New Year’s Eve event Hawaymanay. Billed as the city’s answer to Hogmanay in Edinburgh, it will feature two firework displays, live music, food vendors and street performers.
