WARWICK, RI — This weeks’ Warwick Weekend events include music in Conimicut Village, a new art exhibit viewing the 250th from a Native American perspective, as well as a farmers market, food trucks, art, and bumper cars.

Warwick Weekend Events Friday: 

Music in the Village Come enjoy some music outdoors in the grassy area behind Woodbury Union Church in Conimicut Village, 58 Beach Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is open and free to all. Ken Boisclair performs, and Cookie Chow will be there too.

WCFA ‘250th Iootash Ompeu Revolution’ Exhibit  The group exhibit “250th Iootash Ompeu Revolution” A Native American perspective of the Revolutionary War, shows at the WCFA gallery, 3259 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886. The  gallery  is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  Admission is free.

Clouds Hill Tours: Clouds Hill Museum offers tours of the museum by appointment, every other week on Friday.  Walk through rooms that have remained in the same family for four generations, featuring perfectly preserved 19th-century furnishings, hand-carved woodwork, and textiles. After touring the main house, don’t miss the Carriage Museum to see a rare mid-1800s wagon.

Clouds Hill is on the National Register of Historic Places, and fans of HBO’s “The Gilded Age” who visit there will recognize portions of the home that have been used in the popular period drama. The home has been carefully preserved and is said to be one of the best examples of Victoriana, with original architecture, textiles, furnishings, artwork and the like carefully preserved through the decades. Farmers Market at Goddard Memorial State Park Support and enjoy local food and farmers! Join our weekly farmers market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and get to know the hardworking people who grow your veggies, fruit, flowers, and favorite foods!

For the first few weeks, the market mostly offers bedding plants, hanging plants, cut flowers, meat, early vegetable crops, honey, and maple syrup. As traditional local summer crops become available, additional vendors will participate.

 Roger Williams Food Truck Fridays End your week at Food Truck Friday – an outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starting at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

The Carousel campus has a lot of open space and rolling hills shaded by trees, the perfect spot to grab dinner from a food truck and listen to music and entertainment during the park’s Food Truck Fridays event. The outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starts at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

Bring Your Own Improv, WCFA Bring Your Own Improv is on for family friendly live performances every Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $11.63. If you’re looking for something fun to do late on a Friday night in Warwick, they’ve got you covered. Their Caffeinated Insomniacs Comedy show – designed for teens and adults – is the place to be at 10 p.m. Their show welcomes voluntary audience participation. You can participate in one of three ways: applaud for a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or if you feel you’re ready, jump up and get involved.

Thayer Arena Public Skate Through March, Friday and Sunday, Public Skate is open to skaters of all ages. Cost to Skate is $5 – Children 5 and under are free. Skate Rentals are available at Sandy Lane Sports across the street from the rink.

  • Sundays 12:45 – 2 p.m.

No Skate Dates: June 14, 28

Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian who is 18 years or older. Children ages 13-17 without an adult staying onsite must be paid for and signed in by an adult that can leave emergency contact information. Only persons wearing skates are permitted on the ice surface. Helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.

Bumper Car Rides, City Hall Plaza Bumper Car rides at City Hall Plaza, 3275 Post Rd, Warwick, RI, are $12 for adults, $10 for children (12 years old and under) for 10 minutes. It is recommended you book your tickets online to ensure your car is reserved. Walk-ups are welcome but we cannot guarantee a car will be available.

  • Saturday 10:30 a.m. till 2:30 p.m.
  • Sunday 11 a.m. till 3 p. m.

Warwick Weekend Events Saturday:

Conimicut Village, Christmas in July Visit our Christmas in July market on Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at William Shields Post 43, 662 West Shore Road. Rumor has it that a certain jolly fellow will be visiting from the North Pole as well!

Skate with WPD Join members of the Warwick Police Department for “Skate with a Cop Day!”

Admission and skate rentals are free. There will be sweets trucks on site with ice cream and frozen lemonade for purchase.

There are two sessions scheduled:10:00 a.m. to noon12:30-2:30 p.m. To ensure your rental, please reserve your session at cityhall-plaza.com) under “event sign up.”
