Hugh Jackman will headline the upcoming movie The Death of Robin Hood, which will be the rarest adaptation of the legendary hero yet. While there have been many iterations of the Robin Hood story, the upcoming thriller will adapt the story’s darker version based on the 17th-century ballad Robin Hood‘s Death.

Now, it’s been confirmed that The Death of Robin Hood will be rated R for strong bloody violence. This would also make it one of the rare adaptations to hit this rating, considering Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, and Taron Egerton’s versions were PG-13.
