Hunter Doohan, who portrays Bastian Cooper / Muse in Daredevil: Born Again, weighed in on the possibilities of his return in the upcoming Season 2. Muse is a masked serial killer who uses the blood of his victims to create his artwork. In episode 7, Muse is seemingly killed after Margarita Levieva’s Heather Glenn shoots him.
Hunter Doohan reflects on Muse’s return possibility in Daredevil: Season 2
Although Muse is presumed to be dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some fans believe that might not be the case and that he could return in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
Reflecting on that prospect, Hunter Doohan told IndieWire, “I would love that. That character was so fun. I don’t know, one, why people see me as a serial killer so much, or two, why I seem to get shot in every single TV show I do.”
Notably, in Netflix’s Wednesday, Doohan also portrays a serial killer (Hyde monster). The first part of the sophomore season of the series debuted on the streaming giant on August 6.
In the same interview, Doohan stated that Marvel is “1000” times more “tight-lipped” than Netflix about their projects. “I didn’t know the character,” he elaborated. “I think I might have not even known the show when I did the first audition. And then it was only when I got the offer to do it that I found out everything that was actually going to happen. Then I got to do a Zoom with the showrunners and find out more after we accepted.”
Doohan noted that despite all the secrecy, “some sleuths” figured out who is behind Muse’s mask before it was revealed in the show. “I was even scared to post about it or anything to just try not to spoil it,” he said, adding, “I love keeping secrets back.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 comes out on Disney+ in March 2026.
