Bob Weir, the rhythm guitarist, singer and founding member of the Grateful Dead had passed away.
After the initial shock, emotions in the room began flowing. We quickly felt a responsibility to play his music that night. Not for show. Not for the ‘gram. But because we owed it to everyone who would be in the room with us. They deserved a moment — we all did — to acknowledge the depth of his influence, both on our band and on the foundation that we’re all standing on.
