An ex-employee for the Royal Family has warned that a Sarah Ferguson tell-all could be disastrous. Sarah, 66, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 65, were stripped of their titles in October over their past ties to and correspondence with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The former couple, who were officially divorced in 1996, have also been served an eviction notice for Royal Lodge. Andrew will reportedly live at an undisclosed home on King Charles’s Sandringham estate, but Sarah’s next home remains unknown. Regardless of where she lives, many people have questioned how she affords a new property, with some reports suggesting that she may be set to release a bombshell memoir, especially following the cancellation of a planned children’s book.
According to Ailsa Anderson, who previously served as press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth, a tell-all from Sarah could be damaging for the Royal Family.
During a recent appearance on The Sun‘s Royal podcast, Alisa was asked if Sarah could be planning on releasing a book.
She said: “Firstly, doom and gloom. You’d have to see what she’s going to say.
“I think never do a knee-jerk reaction, don’t be painted into a corner and then ask to do something immediately. You see what she says, analyse it.”
She revealed that it would likely make her own PR situation worse, as well as shift focus away from what the royals really want to focus on.
She added, “What you don’t want to do is add fuel to the flames of anything that she has said and prolong a story, so I think it would very much be dependent on what she came up with, but it wouldn’t be good news.
“And it distracts from all the good work the Royal Family are doing…”
