I’m A Celebrity South Africa camp was rocked as Ant and Dec announced a double elimination twist
The I’m A Celebrity South Africa camp was thrown into turmoil after hosts Ant and Dec shared another surprise twist.
Tensions have been brewing in the jungle following David Haye’s criticism of Adam Thomas for his reluctance to volunteer for a Bushtucker trial due to illness, calling him “useless”.
With the contestants already feeling anxious, the presenters intensify matters further in tonight’s (Monday, April 20) episode ahead of Friday’s (April 24) live show – disclosing that the contestants themselves will determine who departs.
Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts was protected from elimination after succeeding in her trial, and is requested to select one celebrity to save, with that individual able to save another, initiating a “chain” of stars remaining on the programme.
The Mirror discovered: “The camp just gets used to the idea one is going, and then Ant and Dec announce another twist and a second campmate leaves at the same time. It’s a tough moment and leaves the whole camp reeling afterwards. It is a big change to the camp dynamic.”, reports the Mirror.

Seann became the first individual to exit the all-star series after Harry Redknapp was compelled to evict a member of his team as a penalty for losing a task. Reflecting on the difficult decision, he subsequently disclosed that he volunteered to depart himself, as he found it agonising to select someone for elimination.
He explained: “Now we have only been there two days. So I think, ‘No please, I don’t want to do that. I’ll go home’ and they said, ‘No you can’t do that. You’re the king. You’ve got to vote out one of your subjects and send them home. That is the rule.’
“I get into camp and I feel terrible and by the time I get there I have got to tell them who I am sending home. I’m not going to send David Haye home. He might knock me out.
“I am getting on great with Mo Farah and the girl on the next bed to me was Ashley Roberts. A Pussycat Doll. I’m not sending her home! She teaches me how to do yoga at 7 o’clock in the morning.
“So poor Seann. I am going to send him home. By the time I get back to camp my head is full of stuff and I was dreading this. I am sending that poor bloke home and he’s telling me how much he wants to be here.”
To compound the awkwardness, Harry actually forgot Seann’s name at the critical juncture, announcing that he had opted to send “Stewart” home.
The comedian – who initially featured on the main series in 2022 – brushed off the gaffe, remarking: “Oh fair enough. That’s absolutely fair enough.”
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is expected tor return to ITV1 and ITVX later this year
