Ant and Dec appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked after the live ITV final and shared their feelings on the winner
Moments after Adam Thomas was crowned champion of the second All Stars series in a turbulent live finale, I’m A Celebrity… South Africa presenters Ant and Dec revealed their reactions.
The duo made an appearance on the ITV2 aftershow, joining Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers for a discussion. However, while many personalities from the 2026 series turned up for I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked, some significant absences were hard to miss – Adam didn’t show for his victor’s interview, and both David Haye and Jimmy Ballard, who’d clashed with the ex-Emmerdale actor throughout the series, were conspicuously absent.
Opening the programme, Sam and Kemi quizzed Ant and Dec about their impressions of the live finale and its winner, with the presenting pair evidently still processing the earlier studio showdown where finalists assembled to discover who viewers had voted as their champion.
Throughout the broadcast, tensions flared with campmates departing the set, while David – who’d previously faced “bullying” allegations regarding Adam, which he refuted – confronted Adam on live television, prompting Ant and Dec to intervene.
Subsequently on the aftershow, the hosts discussed the live finale and the “horrific” concluding eating challenge that was broadcast, with Ant admitting: “I didn’t expect a tarantula if I’m being honest, that was pretty gruesome.”
Dec added that it “went up another level”. Ant praised the finalists, saying: “To be fair to all four of them – to Craig, to Simone, to Harry and to Adam – four quite gruesome trails in the final there and they all did them. Well done them,” reports Wales Online.
Sam then teased what was coming up on the aftershow, noting: “We’ve got plenty more to come from the finalists and all of the campmates.” Ant quickly added: “All of them? As many as we could muster!”
When Sam enquired about “worthy” champion Adam, Dec remarked: “He had a really tough time in there , he was up and down, he said himself he struggled in there but he did brilliantly. He faced all the trials and challenges, he got on with it, he did brilliantly. Yeah he deserved to win.”
During the live finale, broadcast in two parts, viewers watched pre-recorded clips of Adam conquering his final Trial – a nauseating eating challenge. Afterwards, in the London studio, Gemma Collins enthusiastically proclaimed: “Just forever will be my hero, Adam. You so deserve to win this show. Adam to win!”, continuing with: “You’ve just done so well, Adam. Just, you’re amazing.”
However, David, 45, unexpectedly confronted the victor on live television. Referencing Adam’s heated exchange with Jimmy, he probed: “Do you think you deserve to win this after calling Jimmy the C-word a couple of times? Do you think you deserve to win it?”
Adam shot back: “After the Trial, I deserve it, yeah.” Hosts Ant and Dec promptly stepped in, with Dec cutting across: “David, we’re going to come to this, we’ll come to this a little bit later!” Undaunted, David persisted: “Don’t you think you should ask Jimmy whether he deserves to win it?” to which Ant replied: “We will! We are going to ask Jimmy later and we’ll speak to you as well.”
David then claimed about Adam’s confrontation with Jimmy: “There’s a lot of that stuff cut out of it” with Ant acknowledging: “There was a lot of stuff that was said that was unbroadcastable, which is why, look, we’ll get into all of this later in the show! You’ll all have a right to reply.”
