After making her debut in Kannada with the comedy film titled Bill Gates, Akshara Reddy , who appeared in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5, has had to wait five years to make her debut in Tamil cinema. The actress played the female lead in Right , headlined by Natty and directed by Subramanian Rameshkumar.Akshara, a Chennaiite who was born into a Telugu family, shares that she had a good time working on the project and is all praise for her co-stars. “Natty sir is very down to earth and also an amazing actor. He, Arun Pandian sir and Vinodhini Vaidyanathan ma’am were always on time, disciplined and had no ego. I think the reason they have been in the industry for such a long time is due to these qualities,” she states.Speaking about Bigg Boss , she shares, “It helped me garner good recognition among the Tamil audience. After Bigg Boss , I had a few good opportunities come my way, but I couldn’t take them up, as my mom was sick. It’s only after her passing that I started signing more projects.”Stressing that if a challenging role comes her way, she’ll surely pick it up, Akshara says, “I want to explore diverse roles rather than just be a glam doll. If it’s a very good role, I’m even willing to shave my head. My dream role is something like the female protagonists in Dangal (2016). I also liked the heroine’s role in Hi Nanna . It had so many shades.”The actress concludes by saying that she is going with the flow in her career. “I’ll pick the best from whatever comes my way. I’ve just started and want to explore. I don’t want to plan anything,” Akshara shares.
