Milan Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, and the stars have since been rolling into the Italian fashion capital.
Today, Dakota Fanning put a hot spin on her classic, minimalist style as she stepped out to attend Fendi’s runway show. The actor made the exposed-bra trend all her own, as she slipped on a silky triangle bra from Fleur du Mal, layering over it a sharp black blazer. The deep V neck of the jacket let the bralette peek out.
Black trousers with loose, wide legs, and pointy black patent-leather heels completed the Vicious star’s monochrome look, styled by Samantha McMillen. Always one for easy elegance, Fanning accessorized with little dangly diamond earrings, and for a single statement piece, she carried a Fendi baguette in black-and-white zebra print with a red snakeskin strap.

Fanning’s younger sister, Elle, previously spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about their differing personal styles. “There was a point where I was able to steal her clothes, but now I’m a lot taller, so I can’t. I think Dakota’s very classic. I’m classic too, but with a twist,” the A Complete Unknown star said. “She’s a little bit more laid-back. There have been times when she’s looked at me and she’s like, ‘Okay, you’re going to wear that?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ And I think she loves me for that, but I kind of make a bolder choice, whereas she just wants to look beautiful and clean and chic. I get to be the crazy one. I think that younger-older sister dynamic is classic.”
