A unique attraction opening soon won’t only be in Pigeon Forge. Knoxville will get in on the fun, too.
Slick City Action Park, an indoor slide park, is scheduled to open sometime in 2026 on Kingston Pike. “Step into a world of exhilarating indoor slides, air courts, and unforgettable fun for all ages,” the location’s website says.
An array of giant slides where you feel the rush of wind as you zoom down is the highlight of Slick City, but it also will feature mini go-karts, air courts for sports like dodgeball, and a junior jungle for kids age 5 and younger.
What is Slick City Action Park?
Slick City Action Park will be an indoor attraction featuring several massive dry slides with other gravity-defying adventures and a selection of hot food, snacks, candy and beverages.
In addition to the slides, multiuse air courts are great for parkour tricks and flips, along with a swing and trapeze area, go-karts for young racers and a soft play zone full of mini slides, climbing obstacles and padded adventures for the youngest of thrill-seekers.
Some of the signature slides include:
- Mega Launch, Slick City’s signature slide that delivers a “heart-dropping experience,” according to the website
- Hyperloop, a lightning-fast straight slide that builds momentum before launching you into a sharp curve for an “unforgettable” finish
- Dragon, which sends riders up peaks and down valleys
- Tailspin, a smooth, spiraling ride that’s perfect for first-time sliders.
The overall experience is designed to accommodate group events and birthdays.
What are air courts?
The attraction also will feature air courts where games like dodgeball and basketball can be played.
Air courts are inflatable, cushioned courts designed for high-energy play. Unlike standard hard courts, air courts use air-filled flooring and walls that reduce impact, allow for higher jumps, softer landings and a more dynamic, family-friendly experience. They’re built specifically for active entertainment rather than for traditional competitive sports.
When does Slick City Action Park in Knoxville open?
The slide park is expected to open in 2026, but a specific date was not listed on the website for the Knoxville location as of Feb. 10. “Coming soon” is stated on the website and on associated social media pages.
However, Knoxville’s Slick City is booking for birthday and group events in March, according to posts on the park’s official Facebook page.
Slick City Action Park will be located at 9305 Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Updates and more information can be found at slickcity.com/tn-knoxville.

Another Slick City Action Park is opening in Pigeon Forge soon. It will be at 3735 Parkway where TopJump Trampoline and Extreme Arena currently operates. TopJump will end operations Feb. 22 and will undergo a full renovation to prepare for the slide park, according to a news release.
Top Concepts, a Pigeon Forge–based tourism company that develops and operates family entertainment attractions and live experiences, will operate the Pigeon Forge location.
“This is a major step forward not just for Pigeon Forge, but also for family-friendly things to do in the Smokies,” Top Concepts managing partner Chucky Blalock said in a release.
“Slick City allows us to bring something completely new to the market – an all-new action-packed attraction that appeals to kids, teens, adults and thrill-seekers year-round. We’re incredibly excited about what’s coming next,” Blalock continued.
The Slick City location in Knoxville has different ownership, Top Concepts confirmed to Knox News.
Job openings for the Knoxville location are through Innovative Heights, which owns and operates “brands in the family entertainment industry across the United States,” according to LinkedIn.
