Casey Johnson is getting candid about protecting his fiancée’s son’s privacy online.
In a May 31 post to TikTok, Johnson, who is engaged to influencer Shay Sullivan, responded to online trolls questioning why Sullivan’s 5-year-old son, Rome, never makes an appearance in either of their content online.
“I’m gonna break this down for you in simple terms so you stupid folk can understand,” Johnson told his followers.
“Post kid on internet?” he said, using a baby voice. “Bad. Bad people see kid on internet.”

Johnson added that there are times when he and Sullivan are simply not with her son — and even when they are, they focus on spending time with him and making him happy. He also added that he and Sullivan wouldn’t “judge” if another parent made a different decision regarding their own kid, saying it was merely the decision they made themselves.
“Hope that helps,” he concluded.
Johnson welcomed Rome on March 24, 2021, sharing a photo of him in her arms from the hospital the following day to announce the exciting news. For the first few months of her son’s life, she shared several updates with him online, though in the last three years, he has been largely absent from her content.
In March, celebrating Rome’s fifth birthday, she shared a few snaps with her kiddo on the beach, though she scribbled his face out in the images. “Happy 5th birthday Rome 🥹 I love you endlessly,” she captioned the carousel.
Sullivan and Johnson got engaged in May 2025, sharing photos from Johnson’s beachy proposal alongside the Instagram caption, “Forever makes sense with you @caseyis___ WE’RE ENGAGED!!!!!”
In April, the pair took to TikTok to share the full story behind their engagement — revealing that Johnson actually had an entire proposal planned for the following month in Nashville, but scrapped his plans at the last minute to get on one knee at the beach in Montauk, N.Y.

“We both genuinely blacked out,” joked Sullivan.

After the proposal, Sullivan said that a crowd of people had formed by the window of a nearby restaurant on the beach, banging on the window and congratulating them on the engagement.
“We had the best dinner, we FaceTimed all of our family afterwards, but it’s so funny — after dinner, we were like, ‘I don’t even remember what you said.’ ”
And the pair concluded the TikTok by sharing that they would be tying the knot in less than two months.
