Keith Urban and Maggie Baugh have found themselves in the spotlight following his split from Nicole Kidman.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Australian actress Nicole had filed for divorce from Keith after nearly two decades of marriage.
Nicole is said to have initiated the separation, but it remains unclear where she filed for divorce as the pair own properties in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Australia.
The once-powerful couple has reportedly been living separately “since the beginning of summer”, with sources indicating that Keith has “secured his own place in Nashville and moved out of their family home.”
Meanwhile, Nicole, 58, is reported to be caring for their children and has been “keeping the family united during this challenging period.”
While the reason for their divorce remains unknown, Keith’s relationship with Maggie Baugh has sparked speculation on social media.
During a concert in Las Vegas, Keith tweaked lyrics that originally referenced Nicole to fit Maggie. On April 1, they performed The Fighter together, with Keith joining Maggie on stage, pointing at her and passionately singing: “I was born to love you.”
He later added, “Maggie, I’ll be your fighter,” before they embraced each other on stage. In a more recent performance, Keith sang: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

Maggie posted the clip on her Instagram with the caption: “Did he just say that,” accompanied by a pair of eyes emoji. The post, which has garnered over 6,900 likes, has sparked significant controversy.
“Wow, that song was made for Nicole. For him to do that tells us what he’s really all about. That’s just disgusting. Nicole deserves much better,” commented one Instagram user. Another chimed in: “It is so trashy to do this to a song inspired by his wife. It’s the ultimate ick.
“Why in the world would you post this? Have some class. Or maybe you don’t mind having none. And Keith? lost all respect. Sure, couples separate, but to make this public. Shame on both of them,” raged a third user. A fourth person added: “What a guy he took a song he wrote for his wife and put a different woman’s name in it now there’s class.”
Maggie Baugh is a country music performer hailing from Nashville. The vocalist dropped her debut album, titled Dear Me, in October 2023.
She currently serves as utility player in Keith Urban’s touring band.
Maggie initially encountered Keith at the Country Music Television Awards in 2024, and was subsequently asked to join his tour. She previously expressed her excitement: “I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since my first ever show with Keith at the CMT Awards! ! Who knew this show would kick off an entire year touring the world as his utility player.”
The artist expressed her gratitude, saying: “Absolutely so grateful for all of it… every arena, every TV show, every club date … I’ll never forget it! It’s been a wild year… so here’s a little throwback to the CMT awards last year,” as she shared a video from the awards ceremony on her Instagram.
In contrast, Nicole is reportedly taken aback by their split and had hoped to salvage their marriage. “Keith has not been honest. She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked,” an insider revealed to People.
The separation is reportedly becoming “turning dramatic” with Nicole feeling “hurt and betrayed”. Their split comes just months after the country singer disclosed his forced absence from his family due to his recent tour.
Addressing his fans, he stated: “Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE- that’s what it’s about for me.
“Lots of hits, new songs, things we won’t even think about until we’re onstage and loads of guitar. We’re gonna make this tour the best night of your life!”.
Reflecting on their relationship in 2014, Keith confessed to Rolling Stone that he was “very, very blessed” when Nicole staged an intervention for him. This occurred after his release from rehab after three months, leading to the couple’s move to Nashville.
