Taylor Swift is always full of surprises, and ahead of her wedding, it seems she’s done a 180 with one person. It seems she may be inviting ex-BFF Blake Lively after all.
Insiders told celebrity.land that Swift extended an “olive branch” to Lively by inviting her to her wedding.

“Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won’t be because she isn’t welcome,” the inside source added. “Blake is on the cusp of getting a second chance, and they have had some loose conversations to test the waters to get the trust back. Blake is slowly getting back into the fold now that Taylor is having a change of heart.”

It all started with the It Ends With Us legal drama. There were rumors of a rift between Lively and her co-star Baldoni from the start. However, it all hit the fan when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign in a civil suit back in Dec 2024, which The New York Times wrote about.
Days later, Baldoni filed a libel suit against The New York Times, and the following month, he filed a civil defamation suit against Lively and her husband. Then, after Swift was drawn into the drama, rumors of a rift between her and Lively emerged, seemingly confirmed when Lively didn’t congratulate Swift on her engagement to Kelce.
Since then, they’ve seemingly remained out of each other’s lives, despite Swift being the godmother to her children.
And everyone thought Lively wouldn’t go to Swift’s wedding, but now that’s not the case.
Earlier this year, sources even told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack that Lively was convinced she’d be invited: “Blake is totally optimistic. She’s acting like the invite is already in the mail. She keeps going back to the beginning. She was around when Taylor and Travis first got together — she feels like part of their story.”
