After being suspended a few days ago, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is now reportedly set to return to the screens by Tuesday, having been reinstated by Disney. However, Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest ABC affiliate group in the United States, doesn’t appear to be okay with airing the late-night show on its stations on the platform, though its talks with the network are ongoing.
The company’s statement on the matter read (via Deadline),
Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.
