In the story, Perry shared the message “How’s your day?” alongside three mysterious emojis. The same symbols also appeared on her official website, where clicking them revealed a hidden message: “We have something for that, sign up to get updates.” The subtle tease was enough to send fans into a frenzy, flooding X (formerly Twitter) with theories about an imminent announcement. “KATY PERRY IS COMING,” one fan wrote, while another declared, “Her reputation era is coming OMFG.”

The pop icon’s last release, 143, arrived a year ago, on September 20, 2024, marking her seventh studio album and a return to the dance-pop roots that defined her early career.
