CLEVELAND, Ohio — All-Star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., wasn’t in the Royals’ starting lineup Monday for the start of a four-game wild-card showdown with the Guardians at Progressive Field.
The Royals trail Seattle by two games for the third and final American League wild-card spot. The Guardians are 2 1/2 games out. Texas is ahead of both teams, trailing Seattle by 1 1/2 games.
