IVE broke a major record in Aotearoa New Zealand this weekend.
The South Korean girl group brought their world tour to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday (June 20th).
The concert drew over 8,000 fans, setting a new record as the biggest-selling K-pop show in New Zealand history.
IVE’s concert was promoted by Live Nation New Zealand, and the promoter reports a 600% increase in Asia Pop shows across Australia and New Zealand since 2015.
“IVEs fanbase in New Zealand has been extraordinary — the demand we saw from the moment tickets went on sale made clear this would be a record-breaking night,” Wenona Lok, Live Nation Australasia Senior Promoter and Asia Pop Talent Buyer, says.
“What IVE represent is the full expression of Asia Pop: world-class production, music that connects across cultures, and a group at the absolute top of their game. Saturday was a milestone for K-pop in New Zealand, and a signal of where this genre is heading.”

STARSHIP Entertainment VP Hyunjoo Seo adds:
“I was delighted to hear that a new milestone has been set in the history of K-pop performances in New Zealand. Achieving this kind of record in the market is something the members and the entire team will remember for a long time. The passion of Kiwi DIVEs was truly world-class, and it made the performance a special and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”
IVE is comprised of AN YUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANG WONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO.
The popular girl group debuted in 2021 with Eleven, and have gone on to achieve seven consecutive million-seller albums. IVE were also named by Forbes Asia in its 2024 30 Under 30 list.
As well as New Zealand, their current world tour spans a whopping 19 countries. Their tour also previously took them to Sydney and Melbourne earlier this month.
According to the Chosun Daily‘s review of their Sydney show, IVE filled “the stage with an even more overwhelming scale and a tightly woven narrative in their setlist, once again imprinting their diverse colours and stage presence.”
