The Beyond The Gates spoilers for Monday, September 29, 2025, reveal that the truth is finally coming out. Jacob gives Vanessa a much-needed update about Doug.
What Happened To Doug?
Doug McBride (Jason Graham) is dead, which came as a shock to BTG viewers. He was first introduced as a cardiac surgeon who struggled with gambling addiction. It caused strain to his marriage with Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and messed with his career.
What didn’t help was that Doug racked up a massive debt thanks to Joey (Jon Lindstrom), whom he had no intentions of owing back. This led him to spiral even further. Vanessa left town and her husband behind. She had had enough of his gambling ways.
Even though Jacob called and told her the truth while she was in Puerto Rico, lying in bed next to Joey. On Monday’s episode, Vanessa will seek the truth about Doug from Jacob in person. She must want more details about what happened. How will she react?
Unwelcome Guests
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Joey will receive unwelcome blasts from their pasts. Who is coming to haunt them this time around? Could Allison (Brianna Roberts) be Chelsea’s blast from the past?
And how will they cope? It doesn’t look good for either of these characters. (Why did Joey want a romantic getaway with Vanessa?)
Tomas Has Insecurities
Meanwhile, Tomas (Alex Alegria) struggles with insecurities, but Eva (Ambyr Michelle) wants to put those insecurities to bed—so to speak. This could have to do with his and Kat’s inability to be on the same page…in bed.
