
Jake Paul has lead tributes to the son of boxing legend Arturo Gatti who has died at the age of 17.
Arturo Gatti Junior was found dead in Mexico on Tuesday (October 7), his coach Moe Latif and friend Chuck Zito confirmed.
Canadian network TVA Nouvelles reports Gatti Junior was in the country with his mom, Amanda Rodrigues.
The teen was a promising amateur boxer, with dreams of turning professional like his father.
Arturo Senior was found dead in Brazil 16 years ago. Authorities initially suspected his death was a homicide but later ruled it a suicide.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Paul wrote: “RIP to Arturo Gatti Jr. Very sad to see a young man with so much potential lose his life and do so like his legendary father. May they conquer together up above.”
