James Gunn explains why Man of Tomorrow‘s Brainiac actor was revealed prior to any official casting announcements for The Batman – Part II. On December 20, Gunn posted on social media that Lars Eidinger had been cast as Brainiac in Man of Tomorrow.
The Superman sequel was announced earlier this year and is scheduled to be released on July 9, 2027. Scarlett Johansson has reportedly been added to the cast of The Batman – Part II, releasing on October 1, 2027, but neither she nor any other new cast members have been officially announced by DC yet.
