Jason Moore, helmer of the franchise-launching “Pitch Perfect” and the forthcoming “Legally Blonde” prequel series, is on the case at Universal. Moore will direct a script by the previously announced Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. Amy Pascal and Lord Miller are on board as producers.
Moore kicked off an incredible run for Elizabeth Banks’ “Pitch Perfect” multiverse almost 15 years ago. The series has grossed close to $600 million at the worldwide box office, with all three costing less than $100 million to produce. His film credits include “Sisters,” starring Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph and “Shotgun Wedding,” with Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel.
