Jane Lynch reveals what ‘Glee’s’ Sue Sylvester would be up to today

Jane Lynch doesn’t think Sue Sylvester would have changed much over the past 11 years.

The actress played the William McKinley High School cheerleading coach on “Glee” for six seasons, and she has a pretty good idea of what the character would be up to if the show were still on today. “I think Sue Sylvester would be the principal of the same school,” Lynch revealed to PauseRewind’s Sabra Satz-Kojis. “And I think she would have probably destroyed the whole glee program and set her sights on something.”

She continued, “There’s some group of kids that she’s leading to national prominence for sure.”

Given Sue’s constant attempts throughout the show’s run to end the glee club for good, Lynch’s theory makes a lot of sense.

Today, however, Lynch isn’t playing a high school cheer coach. Instead, she’s hosting “Celebrity Weakest Link,” a game show in which famous contestants answer trivia questions for increasing dollar amounts. At the end of each round, the celebrities vote off who they believe to be their “weakest link.”

If Lynch were to compete on a game show, though, she’s not sure she’d choose the one she hosts. “I love the ‘Weakest Link,’ but I don’t know if I’d be any good,” she explained. Instead, she’d want to go back on one of her favorite shows she’s competed on multiple times: “25 Words or Less.” “I do pretty well on that,” she said.

As for whether fans will ever see Lynch on “The Traitors,” following in the footsteps of actors like Michael Rapaport and Ron Funches? “You know, I don’t know ‘The Traitors’ that well. I should look into it. I love Alan [Cumming] though,” she said.
