“The Dude” knew that a rug could pull a whole room together — and it seems that Jeff Bridges has internalized that message. But in this particular case, one line pulled a whole comedy bit together.
The Oscar-winning actor appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday night and at the tail end of the interview, Kimmel asked the “Big Lebowski” star if he could channel his iconic character to “share some words of wisdom,” and Bridges was more than happy to oblige — especially when Kimmel busted out a cardigan and a few White Russian cocktails to help get him into the Dude’s mindset.

And during his riff — which began as a call to Americans to “calm the fuck down” in today’s political climate — Bridges may have stumbled upon the perfect rallying call against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“Hey, world! Yeah, the Dude here,” Bridges began, speaking directly into the camera. “Can we just all calm the fuck down? I mean, come on, I’m talking about all the wars, the fighting, the cancelling, I mean, let’s just chill out man, come on.”
He continued, “We’re at like, what, a nine? We oughta be at zero. Or zero and a half max, right?”
Bridges then seemed to get inspired by the contents of his cocktail — before coming up with one snappy anti-ICE slogan.
“ICE! Let’s get ICE off our streets and into our beverages.”
After the audience applauded the clever line, Bridges continued on as the Dude.
“This aggression will not stand, right?” he said, quoting one of his most famous lines from the film. “So let’s just abide together. Yes, we can do this.”
Turning to Kimmel, he added, “Now that’s just like, my opinion, but it’s a good one, don’t you think?”
“That’s a pretty great opinion,” Kimmel agreed, clinking his glass against Bridges’ in a toast. “Thank you, Dude.”
Bridges’ remarks against ICE come as the agency deploys more and more brutal tactics to appease President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. Just last week in Illinois, immigration agents fired pepper balls and tear gas at protesters and civilians and violently raided a building of families overnight, which separated children from their families.
Bridges is also not the first celebrity to call out ICE’s behavior. Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, caused a MAGA meltdown last week after it was announced that he’d be the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show headliner. The crux of their outrage is that the Puerto Rican superstar previously announced that he wasn’t going to perform any gigs from his upcoming tour in the United States due to concerns about ICE arrests.
“I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States,” Bad Bunny said shortly after his Super Bowl stint was announced in a very savage tweet aimed at the Department of Homeland Security.
In response, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that ICE will be present at the big game.
“I think people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they’re law-abiding Americans who love this country,” Noem told right-wing journalist Benny Johnson over the weekend.
