Jelly Roll got to experience his daughter, Bailee Ann, achieve a major milestone since he skipped performing at Kid Rock’s Rock The Country festival, which opened over the weekend.
“My little angel is the Prom Queen,” the 41-year-old Grammy winner wrote on his Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 2, to celebrate his teen daughter’s high school accomplishment.
Bailee was pictured smiling in the photo while wearing a white sash that read “Prom Royalty” and a blue sash that read “Prom Queen.” Bailee looked very regal in a strapless teal gown, wearing a crown and holding a red rose. This comes amid Jelly Roll suffering a fresh blow.
Another Instagram post showed Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, standing behind Bailee as she sat in a chair getting her glam done.
Later in the clip, the three of them were captured dressed up for Bailee’s prom, lip-synching to Reba McEntire’s Fancy.
“You kno we had to represent [heart emoji],” the 46-year-old Playboy model captioned the joint post. Jelly Roll commented under the post with “Let’s goooooo biscuit.”
The Winning Streak rapper shares Bailee with his ex-girlfriend Felicia. They welcomed their daughter in 2008 while Jelly Roll was serving a prison sentence for a drug-related conviction.
“A guard knocks on my cell door midafternoon during lockdown. He goes, ‘You had a kid today,’” he reported to Billboard in June 2023. “I’ve never had nothing in life that urged me in the moment to know that I had to do something different. I have to figure this out right now.”
In August 2016, Jelly Roll welcomed another child, Noah Buddy, with his ex, Melisa.
“God Bless this Child to be everything I am not! Noah Buddy DeFord!” he shared on Facebook at that time. “I pray he nor Bailee ever have to pay for their father’s sins. I’ll post more pics tomorrow.”
Also in August of 2016, Jelly married Bunnie Xo at a Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Throughout their time as a couple, the two have been open about pursuing in vitro fertilization to have a child together.
“This journey with IVF, we sat down a couple months ago,” Bunnie Xo said on her Dumb Blonde podcast in 2024. “And I was just like, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden. I’m in my baby mama [and] gardening era.”
She added, “J was like … ‘I would love to have a baby with you.’ And that was not the response that I thought he would say. I was just like, ‘Wow really? Have you always felt like that?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, I will always have a baby with you. If you want to have a baby, cool. If you don’t, cool. Whatever you want to do.’ So now he’s, like, really excited about it.”
