Bunnie Xo isn’t here for the body-shaming — and she’s making that crystal clear. The wife of country music star Jelly Roll is speaking out after fans flooded her social media with comments about her husband’s appearance following his over 100-pound weight loss.
While the internet is busy praising how “hot” Jelly Roll looks now, Bunnie is reminding everyone that his value, and his looks, go way beyond the number on a scale.
The podcast host and influencer, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, took to TikTok on Saturday, September 27, to respond to a wave of comments about Jelly Roll’s look. Fans had been filling her feed with messages like, “Girl, your man is so hot now that he lost all that weight.”
Bunnie finally fired back, making it clear that her husband of nearly a decade has always been attractive — no matter his size.
“He’s always had the same face. He’s always had the same heart. He’s always had the same soul,” she said in her TikTok, defending Jelly Roll’s character.
Rather than focusing on looks, Bunnie encouraged fans to shift the conversation toward something more meaningful; health.
“I think the most appropriate thing here to say is that he looks so much healthier now that he’s lost weight,” she explained.
The 44-year-old “Dumb Blonde Podcast” host ended her video with a powerful reminder not to judge others based on appearance. “We’ve gotta stop living in a shallow world guys. Because you know what, you might miss out on the best love of your life by judging somebody by their weight.”
Bunnie captioned the clip with a sweet note, saying, “He’s been that dude. I’ll forever be cheering him on no matter what weight he is.”

Jelly Roll, 40, has lost over 100 pounds since beginning his fitness journey in 2022. At one point, the Grammy-nominated artist weighed around 550 pounds.
In an interview with Music Mayhem, he revealed that one of his biggest goals for 2023 was to prioritize his health and finally “conquer the demon” of weight that had followed him since childhood.
His recent progress hasn’t gone unnoticed. On September 15, the “Wild Ones” singer joked on Instagram, “I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account.”
Despite the rise in popularity of medications like Ozempic, Jelly Roll has chosen a more natural path. While he’s open-minded about GLP-1 medications, he admitted that the potential side effects made him hesitant.
“I just was afraid of it … As a singer, few things scare me more than acid reflux. Like, you’ll watch me get up out of a bed, I’ll burp and wake up panicked and go take something for it. You know? Because that stuff will just rip the vocal cords,” he acknowledged on Bunnie’s podcast.
