In the past few months, the butter yellow trend has transformed into something far zestier, with lemon hues, and citrus colors in general, taking center stage, becoming the palette du jour for many of the stars, including our favorite street-style maven: Jennifer Lawrence.
On Monday evening, the Oscar winner was seen out in New York City alongside her husband, Cooke Maroney, where she injected a dose of sunshine into the dim Big Apple streets with the help of New Zealand-based quiet luxury brand Harris Tapper.
Lawrence pulled a highlighter-bright blouse and matching midi skirt from the house, which were both made of a semi-sheer silk georgette. The top tied in front and in the back with small black bows, while the skirt included a slit up the rear hem, with Lawrence layering a matching pair of trousers underneath. As a stark contrast to her lemon-lime look, Lawrence brought along one of her classic statement bags—this time being a black Kelly Monaco bag from Hermès. To match, she slipped into a pair of inky Manolo Blahnik sandals, and she accessorized with a golden statement necklace and rings to match, including her go-to Pyramid ring from Yi Collection.
The Oscar winner was not only joined by her beau, but also fellow actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, as they all attended a wrap party for the forthcoming Marin Scorsese film What Happens at Night, based on Peter Cameron’s 2020 novel of the same name.
Lawrence and DiCaprio will both star in the film, alongside other cast members like Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson, and Jared Harris.
