Nosferatu, Wicked and Conclave took the top film prizes at the 27th CDG Awards in February. Since the guild launched its awards show in 1999, the Academy Award for Costume Design has gone to a period film every year but four — including this year, when Paul Tazewell won for Wicked. Only Mad Max: Fury Road (2016), Black Panther (2019) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2023) also bucked that trend.
