Jennifer Lawrence speaks on nightlife and Hollywood chaos after motherhood: ‘Can’t be hungover’
Jennifer Lawrence is embracing a much quieter life these days and she is apparently loving it.
The Oscar winner opened up about motherhood and marriage during a new appearance on the SmartLess podcast.
She admitted during her discussion that she now sees herself more as a “stay-at-home mom” than a movie star.
“I’m not used to being busy like this,” Lawrence said while promoting her film Die My Love.
“I normally have a busy three months while I’m filming… I just go to work, I do that, I come home, I sleep, and then I do it again.”
The 35-year-old, once known for her party-girl image, said motherhood has completely changed her lifestyle.
“I’m in bed,” she said of her nights out. “Kindle is lit until, like, 9:15.”
Over the holidays she even turned down a party because it started too late.
“You can’t be hungover with a 9-month-old,” she explained. “Even a 3-year-old is just not an option.”
Lawrence also spoke candidly about her marriage to art dealer Cooke Maroney and how their opposite personalities balance each other.
“I married somebody who is the opposite of me. He is so organized,” she said, revealing she has attention deficit disorder.
She shared that while Cooke keeps the household running on schedule she needs flexibility.
“He’s very good at keeping it. But we’ve learned, to keep our marriage alive, I have a 15-minute wiggle room.”
The actress shares two young children with Maroney and says family life now comes first even over Hollywood.
