Jennifer Lopez doesn’t need an excuse to dress up, but she had a good one this past weekend, as she performed at the closing event for the presentations of the latest Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria collections from Dolce & Gabbana.
For her surprise mini-concert, the global superstar wore a number of showstopping ensembles courtesy of the host brand, but there was one in particular that completely transformed her into a goddess, which she documented on her Instagram account.
The ensemble in question consisted of a black lace lingerie-style bodysuit, which was draped in ornate golden strands and a chunky tiered necklace up top. Down low, the piece was connected, via garters, to a set of black fishnet tights, and Lopez also wore an intricate black cape embroidered with golden florals, which cloaked her body as it hung from a dazzling crown on her head.
The “Can’t Get Enough” singer not only traveled to Italy for the fashion spectacle, though. After her performance took place on July 17, Lopez kept the festivities going with an early birthday celebration (she will turn 57 on Friday, July 24), which doubled as a party for her younger sister, Lynda, whose birthday took place late last month.
“A double birthday sister trip is always a good idea!!” Lopez wrote on Instagram. “I love you Lynnie!! Happy birthday!!”
Throughout J.Lo’s photo dump, she and her younger sister are seen treating themselves to fancy desserts, enjoying luxurious baths, sneaking in some seaside tanning sessions, and going out for nights on the town. Of course, our Kiss of the Spider Woman star snuck in a few glimpses of her many recent fashionable moments, too.
After all, when you are considered a pop culture goddess, it only makes sense to dress like one.
