Jennifer Lopez‘s twins, Emme and Max, just finished up their senior year in high school, and the “Let’s Get Loud” singer recently admitted the milestone is an “emotional” one.
“It’s been the three of us,” Lopez, 56, said during the Monday, June 8, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “People have come in and out of my life, but it’s been the three of us and they’ve always been there and I’ve always been there.”
The Office Romance star added that she “never thought they would not be there” because she “never thought that far ahead.”
Lopez went on to say that some of the things she’s done this year to celebrate her seniors has led to tears on her end.
“About a couple of months ago, I was writing something for [this] end of the school year thing for them to put in the program at the graduation,” she explained. “Every time it comes up, I just start crying. I could cry right now.”

The “Waiting for Tonight” artist shares Emme and Max, both 18, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, and she’s been open about how hard it’s going to be when she’s an official empty nester.
“I’ve been crying about it for two months,” Lopez said during a May 28 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, referring to her “coconuts” moving out for college.
“We’re going to pack up their rooms here and they’re going to take all the things that they want to take to their dorm,” she continued. “Then they’re going to realize that their dorms are too small and then they’re going to miss home, I hope, and want to come back real soon.”
