There are no fans on Earth quite like Supernatural fans. Their intense love and vigor for the Winchester brothers transcends normal fandoms. For 15 seasons and 327 episodes, fans loyally tuned in week after week until it officially ended in 2020. Five years later, fans still can’t get enough. The actors behind the iconic characters—Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and more—still run and faithfully attend conventions, offering personal and interactive experiences with fans, answering endless questions, and posing for countless photos.
Currently, the “SPN Family” is making the rounds across the country on their The Road So Far…The Road Ahead tour, which kicked off in Austin. For those who don’t know, the show deals with heavy religious themes, as half the plot swirled around God, the devil, angels, and more. Fittingly, during a panel, Ackles was asked what he would do if he were God for a day, and his answer was truly profound.
“This is my thought,” he began. “One God. One God. If that one God is the one God, okay, and I got to be him for a day, or her, I would come down and say, ‘Hey, you all are on the same team. Act like it.’ Because when you’re on the same team, what do you do? You win. You support. You build each other up. You figure it out. You do everything that helps each other. And I feel like that is lost in this world. And I feel like if God could come down and say, ‘Hey, listen, everyone here, by the way, you don’t know this, but out there, you’re screwed. You guys are a team. Act like it.’ That’s what I would do.”
Fans truly resonated with the message and were taken with the heartfelt speech Ackles shared… but that wasn’t all they noticed.
Jensen Ackles Shaves His Iconic Beard
While people were here for the heartfelt message, they were a little shocked to see Jensen without his post-series beard that he grew in for his role on The Boys.

“Jensen hasn’t aged a damn day underneath that beard,” joked one fan.
The reason Ackles‘ beard is gone is he is currently filming for Vought Rising, which is a live-action TV series that is a 1950s prequel to The Boys on Amazon Prime. Ackles is reprising his role as a young Soldier Boy, hence why the scruffy beard is currently gone. The show is set to explore the origins of the classic “Supes,” the beginnings of Compound V, and the rise of the controversial company that serves as a basis for the plot.
The show just began production this August and is slated to come out in late 2026 or early 2027.
