Jesse Welles has shared details of his first-ever Australian tour, which is set to take place in the first few weeks of 2026. The American folk singer, who has accumulated over three million followers on Instagram alone, will bring his Down Under The Powerlines tour to five capital cities across late January and early February. Welles’ full tour itinerary and ticketing info can be found below.

The tour dates have arrived after a particularly prolific year for Welles, who has released five albums in 2025. The 12-track Middle arrived in February, with its single ‘Horses’ resulting in Welles’ first-ever Billboard chart positions – peaking at number two on the Adult Alternative Airplay charts and 29 on the Rock/Alternative Airplay chart. The exhaustive 63-track compilation Under The Powerlines (April 24 – September 24) was released the following month, which compiled songs Welles originally shared on social media – as the title suggests – between late April and late September of 2004.

Pilgrim followed in July, which featured collaborations with fellow American singer-songwriters Sierra Ferrell (‘Far From Home’) and Billy Strings (‘Philanthropist’). The following month, Welles released two albums simultaneously: Devil’s Den and With The Devil. The albums sport different versions of the same 11 songs, with Devil’s Den being recorded in Welles’ usual solo acoustic style and With The Devil being played live with a full band. Both were produced by Welles himself.

Welles is currently on tour through North America, where he recently performed at Nashville’s Americanafest and was brought on stage as a special guest of John Fogerty. He will head to Minneapolis next week before dates in Toronto, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City take him through to November. A tour of the UK and Europe is booked for December.
