Jillian Michaels is no fan of Netflix’s new documentary, Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser. The celebrity trainer and former host of The Biggest Loser does not agree with the narrative that is presented in the film. In fact, she’s stated that it’s an “egregious lie.” So, why does Jillian feel that way about the docuseries on her former show?
Jillian Michaels says caffeine wasn’t banned on The Biggest Loser
The Biggest Loser was one of the first weight-loss reality competition shows that was a big hit. And Jillian hosted sporadically over the course of 18 seasons. However, even though the show was a success, the behind the scenes allegedly wasn’t so pleasant.
Jillian dished on why she is against the documentary to Fox News Digital. First, she explained why she did not participate. Jillian said, “Zero regrets about not doing it because I would have simply lent credibility to something that is an egregious lie.”
Would this mean she would take legal action? Jillian stated, “To be totally honest with you, at the moment I’m choosing my battles because there are a lot to fight. I will absolutely take on one of these. The question is, you can’t fight 10 Goliaths at the same time. So, I have to determine what I want my legacy to be and that is going to be a result of which fight I pick.”
While Jillian is not an advocate for Ozempic, she was under fire for caffeine pills. Jillian took to Instagram to discuss the documentary’s claims that she gave contestants caffeine pills to lose weight.
She wrote, “Dr. Huizenga did approve caffeine pills on many seasons of Biggest Loser. Bob Harper not only knew about the caffeine pills the ‘stackers fat burner’ were actually his suggestion. I wanted to use my brand instead because they were cleaner and had no more than 200mg of caffeine (equivalent to a strong cup of coffee).”
This is all very complex, and Jillian is currently deciding on whether or not to do her own documentary on the subject matter as well.
