But Kimmel noticed something she didn’t say.
“Didn’t hear the word ‘no’ there, did you?” Kimmel said.
Asked a second time, Bondi said nothing.
She was also combative when asked about the Epstein files that she promised to produce, but then didn’t.
“One thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump doesn’t want us to see these files, which to me is all you need to know,” Kimmel said. “I mean, you walk in on your teenager, he suddenly pulls up the covers and slams his laptop shut, I think you have a pretty good idea of why. You don’t need to look at his browser history.”
“It’s not my signature and it’s not the way I speak,” Trump said last month. “And anybody that’s covered me for a long time know that’s not my language. It’s nonsense.”
Kimmel called that an “interesting” denial, and had his team check the video archives to find examples of Trump using the language in the card.
“Does he use the words and phrases that are used in that letter? That’s not for me to say,” Kimmel said. “It’s for you to decide for yourself.”
