Jinger Duggar is facing a tough parenting decision regarding her and husband Jeremy Vuolo‘s son Finn.
The 31-year-old 19 Kids and Counting alum recently revealed she may need to stop breastfeeding and switch Finn, who was born in March, to formula.
“He is having an allergy, apparently, to dairy and soy. So I was just talking to the pediatrician and she was like, ‘You could either cut out dairy and soy, or you can just put him on formula,’” the reality TV personality told listeners on the Wednesday, August 27, episode of her and Jeremy’s podcast. “So that’s the newest, the latest with Finn.”
“I’ve been going back and forth with that because with the girls I wanted to get them to at least a year of nursing or a little bit over that,” explained the former Counting On star, who also shares daughters Felicity, 7, and Evangeline, 4, with the former professional soccer player, 37.
“But with Finn, I’m not feeling like I’m gonna be able to do the whole cutting out all the things to see if it works. So I might just do the formula, which is hard for me,” Jinger admitted.
“I’m at the point where I just don’t know if I mentally can go back to that place of, like, cutting out everything in my diet,” she added.
As for Jeremy, he said he is open to doing “whatever works” for his wife and their child.
